Alan has a particular interest in surgery and in his spare time enjoys rogaining and bush walking.

Dr Roslyn Hiemstra

Veterinarian

After graduating as a vet in South Africa in 2005, Ros and her husband (also a vet) lived and worked in a rural Welsh practice for 3 years. Ros has worked in Perth since then as a small animal clinician with time off to raise their two busy little boys. They share their home with a gorgeous Whippet x Poodle, Billy, a very inquisitive Weiro called Ignatius, 4 friendly goldfish and 4 chooks (Harriet, Seed, Gwen and Cuddly) – who in exchange for eggs, claim the privilege of making themselves at home in the house whenever a gate and door is left open!

In her limited time to relax, Ros enjoys walking Billy – preferably an off the leash bush walk or a crazy romp on Leighton dog beach! She loves camping with her family and being immersed in nature.

Roslyn has worked at Cannington Vet Hospital off and on over the last 8 years and is enjoying being back as part of our team working Mondays and every 4th weekend.
