Our Support Crew

Cannington Veterinary Hospital - Tricia

Tricia

Practice Manager

Tricia has recently joined us as our Practice Manager, coming from the human medical field with over 15 years of management experience and has always been an animal lover. She is also a qualified RTO officer and is currently near completion of her diploma in management.

Tricia enjoys spending time renovating her semi-rural property with her 2 fur babies, Labrador Ruby and American Bullador Sprocket. They all share the house and property with a family of owls, bungarras and bandicoots to name a few of the more friendly wildlife.

It truly is pure joy to work alongside your much loved animals and to give them cuddles and pats with a few kind words whilst they’re with us is a dream come true.

Vet Nurse Mikayla Cannington Vets

Mikayla

Veterinary Nurse
Mikayla joined us in March 2023, she loves the continuity of taking care of animals from when they arrive to the outcome when they recover. She likes all types of surgeries but has a special interest in emergency treatment and care.

She has a bright and bubbly personality with a can-do attitude, she is always positive and brings joy to her colleagues.

Mikayla graduated in 2021 and has had previous vet nursing experience. She also volunteers at Shenton Dog Refuge and The Cat Haven.

She doesn’t have any animals of her own at present, so she is in line for the next adoption. Maybe this beautiful cat.

Bianca

Veterinary Nurse

We welcomed Bianca to Cannington Veterinary Hospital in August 2023 to help out with growing cliental. She is a caring and empathetic nurse who always gives her best efforts with every patient – client contact.

She came from another very busy GP Veterinary Hospital south of the river and has been a great addition to our team.

Bianca special interests are surgeries, critical care, pathology and bloods, she believes every animal deserves the same care and treatment no matter of their circumstances.

She volunteered at K9 rescue and absolutely fell in love with animals and wanted to help every animal thereafter and that’s when she enrolled to become a veterinary nurse. She welcomed her beautiful boxer Marley into her family 5 years ago and since then she has flourished into a gorgeous companion and best friend.

Avel Tan

Veterinary Nurse

Avel’s passions include exotics, pathology, and hospital care — because who doesn’t love a good mix of science and compassion? She has a real calm demeanour and the animals seem to know it, they respond to her very well. She loves to introduce herself to your fur family once in the waiting room and offers all kinds of flattery, pats and treats.

She cherishes quality time with her partner and their forever-fostered cat (Henry), who’s from Cat Haven and has officially taken over their hearts (and the couch).

Avel is a gaming enthusiast and travel junkie on a mission to conquer virtual worlds and new cuisines.

She is an adventurous foodie always searching for the next great restaurant to explore, and when Avel is not busy being a culinary critic, she embraces the joys (and occasional chaos) of veggie gardening.

Willow Dehner

Veterinary Nurse

Willow graduated in 2022 from South Metro Tafe and then proceeded to work in Emergency hospital where she honed her skills further.  Willow has since then worked in GP clinics and has a real passion for hospitalised cases and enjoys putting her patients comfort first and foremost.

Another passion for her is wildlife which she developed whilst working in rural area dealing with lots of wildlife and large animals. We are fortunate to have such an experienced emergency nurse with us.

Her other past time is Larp which is a role playing game where participants physically act out scenarios in the appropriate period costumes.
