Puppy Preschool classes are a great way to socialise your new puppy and to learn some basic training.
Puppies should be enrolled as early as possible to get the most out of the classes. They can be as young as 8 weeks on their first lesson and preferably should begin lessons no later than 14 weeks of age.
After many years we unfortunately no longer run Puppy Preschool classes at Cannington Veterinary Hospital, however we recommend Billy’s Day-Care For Dogs located in Belmont. They run puppy socialisation sessions every Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30pm and you will more than likely be able to book you puppy in for the next session without delay.
For bookings please phone: Billy’s Day Care – 9478 2000
or visit http://bit.ly/pupplaydate for more information.
Billy’s Day Care also holds Puppy Training Courses for puppies aged 8-20 weeks starting every Saturday morning for 4 weeks. For more information please call 0403 164 748 or book online at http://bit.ly/pupcourse
Puppies need to have had their first vaccine and will need to be kept up to date with their vaccines and worming throughout the course. They should not be allowed to go to parks and other public places, or come into contact with unvaccinated dogs until authorised by your veterinarian. If in doubt please contact your veterinarian.
